Ms. Johns engaged to marry William Christopher Graham

Mr. and Mrs. Gary Ewell Johns of Fort Walton Beach, Florida announce the engagement of their daughter, Ms. Heather Kristen Johns, to Mr. William Christopher Graham, son of Mr. David Graham and Ms. Marsha Newton-Graham of Charlotte, North Carolina.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kent Creel, Mrs. Johnnie Johns and the late Mr. Ewell Johns of Opp, Alabama.

Ms. Johns is a 1999 graduate of Opp High School and a 2004 graduate of Auburn University. She is currently in her third year of medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and will graduate in May 2008 with a doctorate of medicine.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Newton and the late Mrs. Grace Newton of Millen, Georgia and the late Mr. Robert Graham and Mrs. Betty Graham Newson of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Mr. Graham graduated in 2000 from Charlotte Country Day School and in 2004 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He will graduate in May 2008 from UAB with a doctorate of medicine.

The couple will be married at 5 p.m. on August 4, 2007 at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Birmingham.
