Vacation week is over, and it is back to work. Where did the week go? Of all the weeks in the year, vacation week is always the shortest! This is a fact.

I have also noticed that Saturdays and Sundays are a lot shorter than the other days of the week, and I am certain that Monday is at least partially responsible for this injustice in the passage of time. There are never enough hours in a Monday to get the things done that need to be done, so I just bet Monday stole some hours from Sunday along the way. That is obviously why Sunday afternoons just fly by.

I am just as certain that Friday is also a thief, stealing hours from Saturday. Why else would Friday afternoons just drag on and on forever? That would also explain why Saturdays race by before we know it.

I think it is about time that this situation was rectified. We should just eliminate Monday from the workweek altogether and give the hours to Sunday. And Friday should be cut to a half-day. The remaining hours can be given to Saturday.

This way we could get a "long weekend" every weekend! Wow! What an idea. I should take a vacation more often.
