Missing man is located

A month long search for a missing Millen man has ended. Family members said Gregory Joyner, 28, was discovered Sunday, July 1, on the porch of a residence at Roger's Landing on the Ogeechee River.

Joyner, who had apparently been staying in the woods of the area, suffered a burn injury to one of his legs, but was otherwise in good condition.

Family members said he had no idea that they had reported him as "missing" and had been looking for him since May 31.

The family also expressed their appreciation to the community for all of the kindnesses extended them and the assistance they had received during the search for Joyner.

Harry Joyner, Gregory's uncle, said that his nephew is now staying with him and his wife Judy.
