Tiffany Wasden recently competed with 95 girls in the 2007 National American Miss "Miss Georgia" Preteen (10-12 years of age division) Pageant.
Thirty percent of the girls' total scores were judged on their formal wear, poise and presentation. Wasden was escorted by her father, Charles Wasden. She did a personal introduction on stage for which she was judged for another 30 percent of her total score. An additional 30 percent of the total score was based on a one-on-one interview. The final 10 percent of the score was based on community involvement. The 95 girls' scores were then tallied to obtain the top 20 scores.
The following night, all of the girls performed a dance routine and then changed into their formal wear for their last walk across the stage. The top 20 girls were selected and scored by the judges. Each of the top 20 girls was given roses and a trophy.
Wasden was a top 20 National American Miss state finalist. She was also the winner of the optional Volunteer Service Award, for which she received a trophy. Additionally, she was the first runner up in the art contest, in which each girl decorated a drawing in four panels, describing the interests of the person they are. A trophy was awarded to her for this, as well.
