Miss McLaughlin to marry Mr. McClain

Mr. and Mrs. Max D. McLaughlin II announce the engagement of their daughter, Alexis C. McLaughlin, to M.J. McClain, son of Robin L. McClain and Marty J. McClain, both of Millen.

The wedding will take place at West Millen Baptist Church 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, with the reception to follow at the Millen Community House.

No local invitations are being sent, but all friends and relatives are invited to attend.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Yvonne L. Motto and the late Joseph R. Motto Sr. of Perkins and the late Lt. Col. Max D. McLaughlin and Betty AnneMcLaughlin of Augusta.

She was an honor graduate of Jenkins County High School and also graduated with honors from Ogeechee Technical College with a degree in Radiology.

She is employed at Jefferson County Hospital.

The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Katie E. Lewis and the late Thomas C. Lewis and Hubert and Allene McClain, all of Millen.

He is a graduate of Jenkins County High School and an honor graduate of Ogeechee Technical College with a degree in Electronics Fundamentals.

He is employed at Ogeechee Technical College as a Technical Support Specialist.
