Hunter Education Course to be offered

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources will offer the 10- hour Hunter Education Course at Magnolia Springs State Park 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, and Tuesday, Aug. 14. The course will conclude 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16. Attendance at all three sessions is manda- tory to be eligible to take the certification test.

Participants who do not wish to attend the 10-hour instructor led course may chose to complete the CD course. These participants can pick up a Hunter Education CD at the Jenkins County High/Middle School media center or the Jenkins County Memorial Library during their regular hours. The CD course does require participants to attend the CD review and pass the Hunter Education test. The review and test will be held 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Aug. 16, at Magnolia Springs State Park.

Participants in either the 10- hour course or the CD course must pre-register. Participants can register at no cost by going to www.georgiawildlife.com and click on the course registration icon. Or call 1-800-864-7275 and an operator will register you for the Hunter Education course for a small fee.
