Mr. Ralph Becton, 86, of Millen died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007

His funeral was 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at Big Horse Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Wendell Madray and John Parker officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Becton was born in Jenkins County. He was a retired farmer and a deacon of Big Horse Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Marie Carter Becton; his three sons, Jerry Becton and Jimmy Becton, both of Millen, and Danny (Vivian) Becton of Waynesboro; five grandchildren, Jerry Eubanks, Janet (Michael) Collier, Danny Becton Jr., Tommy Becton and Shannion Becton; and two great-grandchildren, Will and Drew Collier.

Active pallbearers were Billy Becton, Stanley Thompson, Rudolph Becton, Johnny Becton, Bud North and Tracy Carter.

Honorary pallbearers were Charles Williams and Byron Newton.

Crowe-Fields Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
