Mite All-Stars fare well in summer play
      The Jenkins County Recreation Department Mite All-Star baseball team had a very successful summer. The team played in four tournaments over a four-week period. June 8-14, the team played in the Lyons Invitational, placing fourth out of a field of 18 teams from across the state.

Miss Peanut Princess
     Makenzie Diane Kelly was crowned Miss Peanut Princess Saturday, Aug. 11, in Brooklet. The pageant was open to Bulloch, Bryan, Candler, Evans, Jenkins, Tattnall and Screven counties.
