Mr. William H. Baxley, 75, of Millen died Aug. 18

William Henry Baxley, 75, of Millen, widower of Jerry Baxley, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007 at University of Virginia Hospital.

The body was cremated.

He was born Jan. 8, 1932 in Miami, Fla. He was the son of Harvey and Fannie Louise (Williams) Baxley.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the National Guard.

Before retiring, Mr. Baxley was a plant worker with McArthur Dairies for over 40 years.

He was a faithful member of the Pentecostal Church and was attending Scarboro Baptist Church in Millen.

He was an avid fisherman and bowler. He was a member of the Foresters and the Little Brothers.

Survivors include his sister, Marjorie Baxley Wingrove of Evans; a number of nieces and nephews; and a number of special friends.
