An e-mail buddy sent me the following "fashion tips" for those of us who are over 40 and unsure of how we should dress as we attempt to conform to current fashion fads.

"The following definitely should not be worn together: A nose ring and bifocals; spiked hair and bald spots; a pierced tongue and dentures; mini skirts and support hose; ankle bracelets and corn pads; a belly button ring and a gall bladder surgery scar; unbuttoned disco shirts and a heart monitor; midriff shirts and a midriff bulge; bikinis and liver spots; short shorts and varicose veins; and inline skates and a walker."

And I thought flip flops and socks was a big fashion no-no!
