New Light Baptist Church

New Light Baptist Church will celebrate their 81st Church Anniversary Sunday, Sept. 16. Sunday School will begin at 10:30 a.m. and worship service will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Everyone is invited.

New Hurricane Branch Baptist Church

New Hurricane Branch Baptist Church will celebrate their 136th Church Anniversary Sunday, Sept. 2. Sunday School will begin at 9 a.m. and the mass meeting will begin at 10 a.m.

James Ford will serve as master of ceremonies and Diane Jackson will serve as mistress of ceremonies. The program will include several musical selections. LaQuanta Jackson will present the church history. Minister David L. Reese and the Gordon Grove Baptist Church will be in charge of the service. Dinner will be served.

The church was organized in 1871, and 19 have served as pastor.

Deacon Charlie Walker is chairman, Jackson is secretary and Theresa Ford is finance secretary.

The public is invited.

Lane Grove Baptist Church

The annual revival of Lane Grove Baptist Church is currently being held at 7:30 p.m. each night through Friday, Aug. 31. The Rev. Jesse Johnson is the guest minister and the Rev. Robert Owens is pastor.

Guest churches for the remaining services include: today, Wednesday, Daniel Grove, Gays Hill, Dickey Grove and Newton Grove; Thursday, Gordon Grove, Johnson Grove, Mercer Grove and Union Chapel; and Friday, Johnson Chapel, Mt. Carmel, Durden Grove, Bible Baptist and William Grove Holiness churches.

Fountain Spring Baptist Church

Fountain Spring Baptist Church will hold a Marriage Workshop 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1. The workshop is free to all married and engaged couples and singles. Melissa Jones of Swainsboro will speak on health awareness at 6 p.m. The health awareness session is open to everyone. McElmurray Spring Branch Baptist Church

Christian Believers Outreach Mission's "Third Annual Missionary Anniversary" will be held 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at McElmurray Spring Branch Baptist Church. The theme will be "Working for Jesus." The speaker will be the Rev. Charles Utley, pastor.

Daniel Grove Baptist Church

Daniel Grove Baptist Church will hold their annual revival 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, through Friday, Sept. 7. The guest minister will be Dr. David L. Kemp Sr.

The church will celebrate their 98th Church Anniversary 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 9. The Rev. Eric Tate will deliver the message.
