Church News Long Branch Church of God Pastor Jeff Horne and the Long Branch Church of God invite everyone to celebrate Homecoming with them Sunday, Sept. 23. Morning worship will begin at 11 a.m. and a fellowship meal will follow. The guest speaker for the day will be Dr. Ray H. Hughes, one of the foremos Pentecostal speakers of this era. Dr. Hughes has held many prestigious positions including gen- eral overseer of the Church of God for two separate tenures, president of the National Association of Evangelicals and president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of North America. He held an executive position in the World Association of Evangelicals and served as president of Lee College and state overseer in two states. He was the first national youth director for the Church of God. He has authored at least 10 books and has traveled and preached in over 130 countries. The guest musician for the week will be Brother Macarthur Haynesworth, minister of music at St. Philip A.M.E. Church, Savannah.
