The 2007 JCHS Homecoming Week kicks off Monday, Sept. 17, with many fun activities and culminates at 7:30 pm, Friday, Sept. 21, with the homecoming game against Schley County. The homecoming ceremony will take place during halftime of the game when one of the senior representatives will be named the 2007 JCHS Homecoming Queen.
The following events have been scheduled for the week and all students are asked to participate. This year's homecoming theme is "Turn Back Time." The theme goes along with the return of the school mascot back to JCHS War Eagles.
The student council has designated a dress up day for each day of the week. Homerooms will decorate banners to hang around the football field to show their school spirit. The homecoming committee will sponsor a parade at 6:30 p.m. Thursday Sept. 20. The parade will start on Cotton Avenue, proceed to Masonic Avenue, turn left on Winthrope Avenue and then turn right on North Gray Street and arrive back at the high school.
After the parade the cheerleaders will sponsor a pep rally at the football field for high school students and parents. Friday night after the football game, the prom committee will sponsor a Homecoming Dance for JCHS students only and one escort. If the escort is not a student at JCHS, the prom committee must approve them in advance.
