Mr. Kacey Lane, 44, of Millen died Sept. 10

Mr. Kacey Arnold (Swamp Rat) Lane, 44, of Millen died Monday, Sept. 10, 2007 from injuries received in a farm accident.

His funeral was held 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at the Rosemary Baptist Church with the Revs. Mike Dann and David Mullis officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Mr. Lane was a native of Jenkins County. He was a farmer. He was a member of the Rosemary Baptist Church and the Emanuel County Young Farmers Association. He was president of the Lane Landing Hunting Club and treasurer of the South Jenkins Fire Department District 6.

Survivors include his wife, Tracy Wood Lane; a daughter, Sarah Hullander; two sons, Brian Lane and Kody Lane; his parents, Quinney A. and Nellie Jean Lane; two brothers, Quinney Alan (Boll Weevil) Lane and Mark Lane; a sister, Donna Sue Lane Tapley; and his paternal grandmother, Melody Black, all of Millen; nephews, Travis Tapley, Mark Lane Jr., Aaron Thompson, Michael Wood, Johnathon Horler, James Horler, Seth Moore, Shane Moore, Ben Rankin and Sam Rankin; nieces, Denise Lane, Tonya Lane, Samantha Lane, Kamdin Lane, Megan Hayles, and Danielle Thompson; and great-nieces, Lilly Wood, Alexis Hayles, and Maya Hayles.

Active pallbearers were Jerry (Buckshot) McCormick, Claude (Catfish) Lungren, Ricky McLeod, Keith (Seat Cover) McLeod, Jimmy (City Slicker) Neasbitt, James (Big Mouth) Tapley, Flint (Flintstone) Clark and Chris Carr.

Honorary pallbearers were members of the South Jenkins Fire Department, George Wasden, Thurmon Kent, Gary Clifton, Kim Burke and Ed Wilson.
