Railroad work causes two road closures

The Georgia Department of Transportation announced this week that two roads would be closed in Millen for railroad work.

From Monday, Sept. 17, through Wednesday, Sept. 19, State Route 17 will be closed for railroad crossing maintenance. An official detour route will be posted and traffic will be detoured on State Route 121 and State Route 17 Connector during this closure.

The second railroad crossing maintenance closure will take place from Wednesday, Sept. 19, through Thursday, Sept. 20, on State Route 21 (Millen Bypass) in Millen. An official detour route will be posted with traffic being detoured on State Route 67 and State Route 121 during this closure.
