Albert James Burke, 63, of Garfield died Sept. 24

Mr. Albert James Burke, 63, of Garfield died Monday, Sept. 24, 2007 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 26, in the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home, Swainsboro, with the Rev. Bobby Taylor Jr. officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service.

Mr. Burke was born in Jenkins County. He had lived in Garfield for the past 10 years. He had been employed by Jockey International, Inc. and Plant Vogtle, and he was a farmer. He was a member of Rosemary Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, James (Wanda) Burke and Allen (Tina) Burke, all of Millen; a daughter, Lisa Burke Bauer of Garfield; two brothers, Ray Burke and Sydney Burke, both of Millen; two sisters, Nellie Jean Lane of Millen and Faye Boykin of Sylvania; and three grandchildren, Brett, Meghan and Morgan Burke.

Tomlinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
