Magnolia Springs State Park to get more cabins Mabel Jenkins, a member of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Board and committee member of the Georgia State Parks and Recreation, announced last week that Magnolia Springs State Park will be receiving funds for the construction of two additional cabins at the park. "Through the efforts of Jack Hill, Congress appropriated funds to build two new cabins at Magnolia Springs State Park. This was approved by Gov. Perdue by his signing of the bill. Existing cabins are filled to capacity most of the year, and this will give the county more visitors, which create more revenue for our area, as well as hotel/motel taxes," said Jenkins. "Even though Jack Hill is no longer in our district, he still has Millen and Jenkins County in his heart. Please write or call and express to him your appreciation for his support for us," she added. |
