Cakes-for-Books Silent Auction

Members of the Friends of the Library will sponsor a Silent Cake Auction during the week of Saturday, Oct. 6, through Friday, Oct. 12. The bidding will begin Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Jenkins County Memorial Library during the Fair-on-the-Square. Bids will close Friday, Oct. 12, and the cakes will be delivered to the winners Saturday, Oct. 13.

The auction is being held to raise money for children's books. The Libri Foundation is offering to double any money, up to $1,000 total. What a great way to obtain new books for the local library, and eat your cake at the same time!

Cakes are being donated by some of Jenkins County's best cooks. Visit the library and make your bid and selection.
