Miss Hodges, Mr. Niblett united in marriage March 31

Mr. and Mrs. Travis Lee Niblett
Dana Renee Hodges and Travis Lee Niblett were united in marriage March 31, 2007 on the beautiful ocean side grounds of Jekyll Island.

Miss Hodges in the daughter of Rex and Janet Hodges of Eastman and Mr. Niblett is the son of Terry and Janet Niblett of Eastman.

The double-ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Matt Walker on the grounds of The Beachview Club Island Resort, overlooking the ocean during the sunset hour. The arbor that provided the canopy over the bride and groom was accented with two swags of natural foliage, creating an enchanted garden.

The ceremonial music was played by harpist Kathy Pearce.

The bride was escorted down the white rose petal walkway and given in marriage by her father.

The bride wore a white strapless, modified mermaid gown made of Alencon lace. The Alencon lace was embellished with pearls and iridescent sequins. The drop waist was accented with a pleated celadon taffeta sash that cascaded the length of the chapel train.

She carried a European hand tie of open white Vandalia garden roses with a French white ribbon.

Maids of honor were Kari Hodges and Chelsea Hodges, sisters of the bride, both of Eastman.

Bridesmaids were Lindsey Corbitt and Kimberly Harrell, friends of the bride, both of Eastman.

The bridesmaids wore celadon tea-length chiffon dresses with an a-line skirt. The dresses were accentuated with a bow at the natural waist. The strapless sweetheart necklines enriched the bodices, which were embossed with floral appliqués and beading.

Each bridesmaid carried a European hand tie of standard white calla lilies with flowing beach grasses.

The flower girls were Brianna, Meredith and Mattie Grace Hutchenson. They wore white cotton dresses with celadon green sashes to match the bride's dress.

They carried white sand buckets accented with celadon green ribbon and filled with white rose petals.

The groom was dressed in a khaki casual suit.

The best man was Trenton Niblett, brother of the groom, of Eastman.

The groomsmen were Buddy McDaniel, Mark Driggers and Greg Fields, all of Eastman.

They all wore white buttondown shirts with rolled sleeves and khaki pants. Their boutonnieres were made of seashells and beach berries.

A white tent provided the setting alongside the ocean, which covered a bountiful buffet of food.

The bride's cake was a threetiered white cake accented with white chocolate seashells. The inside of the tent also housed tables decorated with seashells and candle centerpieces that lit the night for the guests. Music and dancing was enjoyed by all.

The couple honeymooned on a cruise to Key West and then on to the Bahamas.

They are residing in Eastman, Ga.
