Eagle Academy students work on mini-booths
The Jenkins County Middle School Eagle Academy students have been working on projects for 4-H mini-booths which will be displayed and judged at the Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair in Statesboro, Oct. 8-13. The students chose topics of interest to them, researched information about the topic, and created a backboard display with pictures, charts, and facts centering around their topics. Ms. Wendy Ivey, Eagle Academy instructor, will guide the students in working on several inquirybased learning projects this year. Clockwise from top left, Marc Holley works on his display about game systems; Bryan Oglesby shares his project about Fantasy Football, another project in which the Eagle Academy students are participating; Ms. Wendy Ivey and Berenice Campos glue information and pictures to posters; and Lavontay Evans stand beside his project about honey.(Photos contributed)
