Our community was saddened by the untimely death of paramedic Cliff Richardson last week. Cliff was always outgoing and friendly whenever our paths would cross and expressed genuine concern for those he served. He will be remembered as a deeply caring individual, and my condolences are extended to his family, friends and co-workers.

Mark you calendars for the annual "Judgment House", sponsored by West Millen Baptist Church. The event will take place 7-9 p.m. at the Jenkins County Recreation Department Wednesday, Oct. 31, through Friday, Nov. 2. Admission is free, and it is always a great event.

Please note that the City of Millen will recognize Tuesday, Oct. 30, as the night for citywide trick-ortreating. The hours will be from 6-9 p.m.
