JCMS names important dates

The faculty and staff at Jenkins County Middle School are working diligently this school year to help all students achieve academic success. An important factor in that pursuit is keeping parents and community aware of what is going on and when important information is being sent out.

The following are some important dates: Sept. 7 - Midterm progress reports were sent home; Oct. 3-8 - 1st nine weeks exams (10% of nine weeks grade);Oct. 8 - End of 1st nine weeks; Oct. 22 - Report cards will be sent home; Oct. 25 - Parent Conference Day - 1:30 - 6:30; Nov. 26 - Mid-term progress reports will be sent home; Dec. 13-18 - Semester exams; Dec. 18 - End of 2nd nine weeks; Jan 14 - Report cards will be sent home; Feb. 20 - Midterm progress reports will be sent home; March 12 - End of 3rd nine weeks; March 24 - Report cards will be sent home; April 25 - mid-term progress reports will be sent home; May 19-23 Semester exams; May 23 - End of 4th nine weeks/2nd semester; and May 29 - Pick up report cards.

Parents are encouraged to ask their children about these reports, review them, sign them, return them to school, and schedule conferences to talk to teachers about their students.

Parents and the community are invited to visit the school, sit in on some classes, and see the great work our teachers, staff, and students are doing!
