Church News Needful Baptist Church Men and Women's Day Needful Baptist Church invites the public to their annual Men and Women's Day program Sunday, Nov. 4. Sunday School will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the worship service will begin at 11:30 a.m. Mary Mitchell and Deacon Elizah Coney will preside. Deacon Larry Ruffins will speak on "The Life of a Christian Man," and Minister Alberta Griffin will speak on "The Life of a Christian Woman." The Rev. Bobby Williams Jr. will share God's Word. Dinner will be served. Millen Baptist Church Christmas Bazaar to benefit Missions "Art for Lottie," a Christmas bazaar to benefit the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, will be held 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, in the fellowship hall of Millen Baptist Church. Admission is free, and the public is invited. Handmade arts and crafts, watercolor and acrylic works of art by local artists, plants, homemade pastries and other food items, as well as a soup-and-sandwich lunch, will be available for a reasonable donation to missions. Oak Hill Baptist Church Fall Festival Oak Hill Baptist Church's Fall Festival will be held 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3. The theme of the festival will be "Orange You Glad You Know Jesus," and everyone is asked to wear orange to the festivities. Many activities are planned for the day, and lunch will be served. The public is invited to enjoy the fun and fellowship. Gay's Hill Baptist Church to hold ordination Gay's Hill Baptist Church will hold the appointment service for Charlie Carr 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3. Carr will be appointed as deacon by Pastor Larry Cone. Pastor Cone and the church's members invite the public. |
