School Bus Drivers' Appreciation Day was celebrated on Monday, Oct. 22, throughout the state of Georgia, recognizing those individuals who have the tremendous responsibility of daily transporting school children to and from school and school related activities.

Pupil transportation is dedicated to the safety and well being of all students in the public schools of Georgia. The Transportation Division of the Georgia Department of Education assists local school systems in their efforts to provide safe and efficient transportation. The Jenkins County school system is committed to provide professional services to ensure the quality of service expected by the citizens of our county. Reliable student transportation serves as a front line support service for the instructional program by delivering students safely, on time, and in a frame of mind ready to learn.
