The Jenkins County High School Eagle football team was defeated at home this past Friday night by Bryan County 26-6. The loss dropped the Eagles to 1-4 in the Region with one game remaining.

The stands were packed for a night filled with activity. The seniors were honored before kick-off for their last home game. The players had pink ribbons on their helmets to pay tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness month. Michele Brannen and her family were also honored on the field for her fight against Cancer. Later that evening the Booster Club gave away a golf cart to a lucky fan.

This Friday night the team will be off, but the following Friday night the Eagles will go to Portal for the last game of the year.

The team's overall record now stands at 3 wins and 6 losses.
