JCMS offers access to Accelerated Reader

The reading teachers at Jenkins County Middle School (JCMS) are sending home letters to parents and guardians regarding access via the internet to their student's Accelerated Reader record, progress, and goals, as well as test results for the STAR Reading test used to determine students' independent reading levels. Students are retested periodically throughout the year to chart progress made.

Also available through the same login and password are records of the student's participation in Accelerated Math (used in math classes) and the STAR Math test.

Parents are encouraged to return the letter if they would like the middle school to assign them a login and password. Parents can also request access at the website.

This website is accessible through your Internet connection at home. Also, the public library has computers that parents can use to access these records. This is an excellent tool for monitoring students' performance.
