Mrs. Ruby Lutes, 87, of Millen died Nov. 3

Mrs. Ruby Oxford Lutes, 87, of Millen passed away Saturday, Nov. 3.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at West Millen Baptist Church with the Revs. Ray Freeman and Steve Adams officiating. Burial was in the Millen Cemetery.

Mrs. Lutes, the widow of the late W.H. (Bill) Lutes, was an Emanuel County native but lived most of her life in Jenkins County. She was a former employee of Jockey International and was one of the oldest members of West Millen Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Pat Knight Carney of Macon; a brother, Rebun (Catherine) Amerson of Millen; two grandsons, William M. Marty (Lori) Evans of Macon and V. Les (Charlotte) Rudd of Murfreesboro, TN; two great-grandsons, Zachery Evans and Carson Rudd; and four step-great-grandsons.

Memorials may be made to the West Millen Baptist Church building fund.
