JCHS competitive cheerleaders to perform for community

Before heading to Columbus Nov. 9 for their State Cheerleading Competition, the Jenkins County High School cheerleaders will host a community wide performance. The performance will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, in the JCHS gymnasium.
The competitive cheerleaders have competed in three cheerleading competitions this season. The squad won their first competition Sept. 29 in Toombs County. They went on to compete in East Laurens on Oct. 13 where they came in fifth place. On Oct. 27, the girls won their second first-place trophy at Effingham County High School against Johnson County High School.
The squad will travel to Columbus on Nov. 10 to compete in the state competition at the Columbus Civic Center.
