Don Eddie Galbreath, 42, of Uvalda has been arrested for the Oct. 29 armed robbery of McTeer Food and Fuel on U.S. Highway 25 South in Millen.

Millen Police Department (MPD) Chief Investigator Charles Drummer, assisted by Jenkins County Sheriff Tim Fields and officers of the Bulloch County Sheriff's Department, took Galbreath into custody at his father's residence in Bulloch County on Saturday, Nov. 3. He is presently being held in the Jenkins County Jail.

A MPD news release indicates that Galbreath was visiting his brother in Millen when he allegedly drove his brother's black S-10 extended cab pickup to McTeer Food and Fuel between 10-11 p.m. Oct. 29. There he entered the store and went into the bathroom. Following the departure of a customer, Galbreath exited the bathroom and demanded that the cashier give him money from the cash register. The cashier was then ordered to go into the bathroom, lock the door and not say anything.

A video camera at the business establishment caught the incident on film, along with Galbreath fleeing the parking lot of the facility as the vehicle headed north on U.S. Highway 25. The video was aired on an Augusta television station and a photo of Galbreath was published in The Millen News and The True Citizen seeking the public's help in identification.
