One killed, six injured in accident

A Jenkins County woman was killed and six others injured in a 2-vehicle accident that occurred Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22, at the intersection of Ga. Hwy. 21 and Perkins Road.

A Georgia State Patrol accident report indicates that the victim, Bertha Jenkins Frison, 50, of Perkins Road, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Malibu south on Perkins Road when she failed to yield the right-of-way at the intersection with Ga. Hwy. 21. As her vehicle crossed the intersection, it was struck by a 1991 Toyota Forerunner which was traveling west on Ga. Hwy. 21. The driver of that vehicle was Velma Jean Wallace, 58, of Jacksonville, FL.

Six other persons involved in the accident complained of minor injuries.
