Datebook '39ers to meet The '39ers will hold a covered dish meeting noon Monday, Dec. 17, at the Millen Community House. All members and visitors are invited to join in the Christmas spirit of fellowship. There will be a gift exchange. Opportunity to help others this Christmas Local residents have an opportunity to help others less fortunate this Christmas. A "Christmas Relief" mission project is being organized through the Baptist Women of Oak Hill Baptist Church. Due to the number of local jobs that have been lost recently, there is a need for those who can to make a difference in the lives of others this Christmas. Everyone is invited to get involved by cleaning out their closets and donating their new or slightly used items to this project. Items needed include clothes, toys, household items and shoes. The items will go to needy families in the community. Please do not donate very old, very used items. The donations are needed by 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14; please call Tonya Gearheart at 982-3982. The items that are donated will be organized and a "free" yard sale will be held 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at the Jenkins County Agriculture Center. Participants will receive a bag per person and a toy per child. JCHS Class of 1996 Reunion
