Mrs. Vancy Adams, 83, of Millen died Dec. 13

Mrs. Vancy Perryman Adams, 83, of Millen died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007.

Her funeral was 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at West Millen Baptist Church with the Revs. Ray Freeman and Steve Adams officiating. Burial was in the Millen Cemetery.

Mrs. Adams was born in Jenkins County. She retired from Jockey International, Inc., and she was a retired beautician. She was a member of West Millen Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn "Cockeye" Adams, and her granddaughter, Jennifer Adams.

Survivors include her two sons, Jimmy (Jewel) Adams and Ronald (Marie) Adams; a sister, Tina Cowart of Hinesville; four grandchildren, Ronnie Adams, Julie Joiner, Jeff Adams and Rhonda Hendrix; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jeff Adams, Michael Hendrix, Frankie Joiner, Lindy Wilson, Larry Allen Butler, Shane Neasbitt and Dale Parker.
