The officers of the Jenkins County High School Interact Club recently visited the Millen Rotary Club, their sponsor.

Interact clubs are organized to provide an opportunity for young people to work together in a world fellowship dedicated to service and international understanding. The program gives young people an opportunity to participate in fun, meaningful service projects while developing leadership skills and meeting new friends. Students ages 14-18 are eligible for Interact Club membership. The club presently has 70 members.

At least two service projects must be completed annually. The latest international project was a bio water project in the Philippines. The Millen Rotary Club offers it guidance, however, the Interact Club is responsible for planning, financing, organizing and executing its projects. Ray Millers plays an instrumental role in the supervision of the club and the success the club has demonstrated thus far.
