Morrison Grove Baptist Church

Community Watch Night Service

A Community Watch Night Service will be held 10:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at Morrison Grove Baptist Church.

The service will include singing, praying and testimonies. The Rev. P.M. Broomfield of Zion Baptist Church will bring the message. The Rev. A.A. Bush Jr., pastor of Morrison Grove Baptist Church, will preside and the Rev. Alma P. Mack of Bethel AME Church will give the prayer to bring in the New Year. Breakfast will be served following the service.

The public is invited.

Parker Grove Baptist Church

Watch Night Service

Parker Grove Baptist Church, Rocky Ford, will hold a "Watch Night Service" beginning at 10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31. Elder Levon Alston is pastor.

Everyone is invited.

Honoring 2008 Parade Grand Marshals

The Millen-Jenkins County Martin Luther King Celebration Committee will hold a reception in honor of the 2008 parade Grand Marshals Glenn Kell and Seretha Sherrod 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at the Morrison Grove Baptist Church. This event will include the presentation of the medallions to the Grand Marshals, refreshments, entertainment and a review of the 2008 activities. Schedule of events, parade information and Dream queenking information will also be available. Mr. Kelly is the State president of the Georgia career student association and Miss Sherrod is Miss Georgia Teen II. Past grand marshals are encouraged to attend as well as the public is invited.
