Mr. and Mrs. Jack N. Deeds celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with friends and family. They were married Jan. 12, 1958 in Savannah. On this Jan. 12, they went to Savannah to have dinner with some of their wedding party and stayed over, and all of them attended Ardsley Park Baptist Church, where they were married. Then, on Jan. 17, they were taken by limousine to Port Canaveral where the family was waiting to board the Carnival Cruise ship "Sensation," to take a cruise to the Bahamas. Their stateroom was decorated, and the waiters sang to them at dinner and gave them a heart-shaped cake. In Nassau, they toured Atlantis and Paradise Island. The Deeds lived in Millen 15 years, and they now live in New Smyrna Beach, Fla. (Photo contributed)
