Millen Woman's Club's annual fashion show will highlight "Prom Fashions" Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Millen Baptist Church social hall. Local girls will model the latest trends in prom fashion including dresses, corsages and hairstyles. One style featured will be the "Old Hollywood Glamour" gowns with empire waists and accordion pleated or flowing chiffon skirts. Another popular style this year is the print dress, especially animal or geometric prints, in muted browns and earth tones. Dresses in rich jewel tones of red, blue, green and hot pink are also popular. The show gives young women the opportunity to view the latest styles before making purchases for the prom season. The show will also include wrist corsages, bouquets and hairstyles to complement the dresses

Prom dresses are provided by Frills and Fancies in Statesboro. Owner Scott Marchbanks will select the dresses to be modeled from the 1,500 dresses he has on the floor that come from 26 different dress designers. The store also carries bridal lines and dresses for special occasions. Corsages and bouquets will be designed by the Millen Charm Barn, The Cotton Gin and the Flower Cottage of Millen. Two Sisters Salon will assist with hairstyles.

The show will offer something for everyone. Local talents Will Gay, Daniel Johnson and Ray Miller will entertain. Refreshments will be served. The show will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door.
