Rothstein jumped rope using different sizes and weights of ropes. He did fast and slow jumping, and super sonic jumping. Students and faculty volunteered to show off their talents at rope jumping, as well. His message throughout the program focused on developing and exhibiting good character traits and doing your best.

Dr. Judy Holton, principal, recognized those students earning perfect attendance and the character eagle award. Dairy Queen of Millen, business partner, provided students an ice cream coupon for perfect attendance.

Sylvia Gay, media specialist, recognized students earning the highest points and the top average in the Accelerated Reader (AR) Program for the second nine weeks.

Students with the highest points in each grade level were Marley Knight, Jalen Coleman, Tyriq Carrie, Tamera Plair and Will Williams. Students with the top average in each grade level were Erick Lopez, Deairra Jones, Elijah Waters, Jody Jeselnik and Carion Roberson. They were awarded an AR gift for their hard work.

All students are to be commended for surpassing the second nine weeks goal in Accelerated Reader. As a result of reaching the goal, the students voted for the faculty and staff to have "Crazy Hair and Sock Day." Everyone enjoyed seeing the faculty and staff with crazy hairdos and wild socks.
