JCMS student wins EGC, STC contest
      Seventh and eighth grade students in the language arts classes at Jenkins County Middle School recently participated in the "Celebration of Education" essay contest sponsored by East Georgia College and Swainsboro Technical College. The theme for the essay this year was "So, Why Am I Studying This? ... Which school subjects will best prepare me for my future, and why?

      Jocelyn Lewis was inducted into the Pi Alpha Alpha honor society for Public Administration Professionals on Wednesday, April 2. The ceremony was held at RJ's Steakery in Statesboro. Pi Alpha Alpha is a prestigious society exclusive to members having a 3.8 GPA or higher.
