I learned last week that Rosemary Baptist Church will be featured in an article appearing in the Aug. 14 edition of The Christian Index, the official publication of the Baptist Convention of the State of Georgia.

As most of you know, the church sustained considerable damage in the Mother's Day storm in May, and the article is about the rebuilding and repair efforts. Included with the article is the photo that appeared in The Millen News of the church's pastor, Mike Dann, as he baptized his daughter Molly in the Ogeechee River July 2007.

I never realized Jenkins County citizens traveled as "far and wide" as they apparently do!

Our "Millen News Goes on Vacation" photo feature has really taken off this summer with numerous citizens submitting their vacation photographs holding the newspaper. We have photos for several weeks in advance. Keep them coming. It is interesting to see where everyone is going!
