Magnolia Springs State Park will sponsor a Heritage Festival 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6. This event will take the place of the park's annual Arts and Crafts Festival which had to be cancelled in the spring due to a conflict in dates. The December date was chosen because it is the anniversary of "Sherman's March to the Sea" through Jenkins County.

Food, craft booths, local entertainment and a Living History Encampment with the SCV Camp 2102 Buckhead/Camp Lawton and Burke Sharp Shooters in period dress will be featured. This year also marks the 75th Anniversary of the Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) and a program commemorating this organization will be held.
