At Magnolia Springs State Park

Barrows has 3½ years experienced with the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) having served at Sweetwater Creek State Park, Ft. Yargo and Bobby Brown State Park where he was assistant park manager.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Justice Studies from Georgia Southern University and is a graduate of DNR's 25th Ranger Academy at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center.
"I am excited about being involved with Millen and want to help local businesses by recom- mending them to our visitors. We want to be a part of the community," Barrows commented.
Magnolia Springs State Park draws approximately 100,000- 150,000 visitors to Jenkins County annually with the adjacent Bo Ginn Aquarium, bringing in 45,000-50,000 visitors. The park, including the aquarium, consists of 1,076 acres and features a swimming pool, six cottages, campground, picnic area, nature trails, natural springs, Ft. Lawton historic site, museum and other attractions.
Barrows encourages local citizens to use the park and enjoy the available facilities. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. until dark with the gates closing at 10 p.m. Visitors pay a $3 parking fee or may purchase an annual park pass for $30.
