Dear Editor,

2008-11-12 / Letters

We, the members of The All Faith Deliverance Church of 449 Wasden Street, Millen, would like to take this opportunity to recognize our friends and special guests who attended our church's anniversary on Oct. 16 at 5 p.m. They were Jenkins County Tax Commissioner Brenda Mathern, former Jenkins County Probate Judge Elizabeth Elmore, newly elected Jenkins County Sheriff Robert Oglesby, The Glover Chapell Church and Choir of Greenwood, S.C. and many local churches that graced us with their presence.

The Rev. R. L. Whitehead brought a soul-stirring sermon to the packed church of joyful and spirit-filled souls, helping make the program a big success.

We are asking each and everyone who knows the worth of prayer to continue to pray for our pastor, the Rev. Pearlie Scott, our assistant pastor, sister D.A. Scott and our church family. Pray that we continue to be steadfast in the Lord and continue to of be of assistance to anyone who needs our help through our clothes-giving mission.

Sincerely,

The Rev. Sister P. R.

Scott, pastor The Rev. Sister D.A. Scott,

assistant pastor Serlearreayia Scott,

secretary The Rev. H. Scott, founder and overseer
