The Jenkins County Courthouse sustained major water damage on all four floors on the east side of the structure due to a leaking valve in the heating/cooling unit. The damage was discovered when employees arrived for work Monday morning and is believed to have occurred sometime between late Sunday afternoon and Monday morning. The only offices affected were those of the Jenkins County Commissioners' and Jenkins County Clerk of Court.
