Mrs. Rebie Lane Reid, 86, of Millen passed away Monday, Nov. 10, 2008 at Pepper Hill Nursing Home in Aiken, S.C. after an extended illness.

Her funeral was held 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at Elam Baptist Church with Dr. Maurice Crowder officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Reid was born in Jenkins County. She was a retired seamstress for Jockey International. She was a member of Elam Baptist Church where she attended the Willing Worker Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her daughter, Jacklyn Reid McElmurray of Aiken; her son, Larry Reid of Millen; a sister, Narsie Lane Bragg, also of Millen; a grandson, Paul (Stephanie) Reid of Canton; and two great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers were Richard Lane, Billy Bragg, Kenneth Bragg, Dewey Lane, Quinney Lane, Dennis Lane, Todd Lane and Grady Lane Jr.

Crowe-Fields Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
