The Millen News traveled with Jim Hite and Joyce Hodges-Hite to the "Big House" at the University of Michigan on Sept. 28. The Hites were in Ann Arbor, where Jim won age group 70 - 74 in the Big House/ Big Heart five-kilometer road race. Over 5,000 runners finished by crossing the 50-yard line inside the 109,000-seat stadium. On the previous day, Joyce placed first in the same age group. She was among some 1,600 runners taking part in the Akron (Ohio) Marathon, thus completing her 111th race of marathon distance (26.2 miles) or longer. (Photo contributed)
