JCES Fall Festival
The top 10 sellers in the recent Jenkins County Elementary School (JCES) PTO fund-raiser were eligible to spin a money wheel. Christian Waters, shown at right with Jessica Reese, PTO treasurer, accepted a check for $100 that he won from the money wheel. Below, Students, parents and staff enjoyed a great afternoon at the Fall Festival held at JCES Monday, Dec. 3. The giant shark slide, the King Kong obstacle course and a joust game were a few of the favorite events enjoyed by the students and adults. The train, driven by Eddie Sherrod of the Millen Fire Department, was another event the children enjoyed. The events were provided by Mountain Empire Productions and were awarded to the school for the great job the students did on the PTO fall fund-raiser. The students sold over $20,000 worth of merchandise. The top 10 sellers had the opportunity to win cash and prizes. Over 500 people attended, and they enjoyed great food, fun and fellowship. The top 10 sellers for the fall fund-raiser at JCES recently enjoyed lunch at Papa's Pizza and a ride in a limousine. These students sold 30 or more items each.
