Fall Sports Athletic Banquet

To celebrate the accomplishments of the Jenkins County fall sports athletes, the annual Athletic Banquet will be held 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, in the Jenkins County Middle/High School lunchroom..

Sponsored by the Jenkins County Athletic Booster Club, the softball, competition cheerleaders, girls and boys crosscountry, and football teams will be honored.

The banquet will include the awarding of medals, the recognition of athletes and their coaches, and a barbecue meal.

Tickets are $7 and may be purchased at the door. Plan to attend and show your support for the positive successes of local student athletes.

JCHS Class of 1996 Reunion

Jenkins County High School Class of 1996 will hold a reunion 6 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at Coleman's Lake Restaurant in Midville. Everyone will pay for his or her buffet meal that night. JCHS Council to meet

Jenkins County High School's School Council will meet 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, in the Jenkins County High School Media Center.

Retired Educators to meet

The Jenkins County unit of the Georgia Retired Educators Association will hear one of its own at the organization's next meeting. Art Johnson of Millen Better Hometown will be the guest speaker. The meeting will be held 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the Jenkins County Family Enrichment Center.
