Lula Mae Perryman Parker, 92, died Dec. 29 Mrs. Lula Mae Perryman Parker, 92, entered into rest Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007 at Jenkins County Hospital. Her funeral was 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Green Fork Baptist Church with Dr. Ray Freeman officiating. Burial was in the Millen Cemetery. Mrs. Parker was born in Screven County, but she had resided in Millen 60 years. She was a former employee of Thomson Co., and she retired from Twin City Manufacturing Co. in 1980. She was a member of Bay Branch Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Willie L. Parker; her daughter, Eloise P. Alexander; a son-in-law, H. Grady Godbee; and a brother, Clyde Perryman. Survivors include her two daughters and sons-in-law, Mildred (Edsel) Higginbotham of Callahan, Fla. and Doris Godbee of Augusta; a son-in-law, Ronald (Betty) Alexander of Perkins; a brother, Ira Perryman of Millen; five grandchildren; and 16 greatgrandchildren. Active pallbearers were Jeff Godbee, Derek Alexander, John Powell, Mark Gresham, Tyler Powell, Hunter Alexander, Louis Parker and Norman Parker. |
