Lady Eagles win three in a row

The Jenkins County High School Lady Eagles are on a winning streak, three in a row. They are now 3-2 in region play.

The Lady Eagles defeated Metter 38-37 in a hard fought game Dec. 21. Leading scorers were Tashe McClain, 17 points; Courtnei Earls, 6; Ayana Walker and Dorothy Davis, 4 points each; Nicole Smith, 3; and Zandra Lake and Deondra Lewis, 2 points each.

On Jan. 4, the Lady Eagles defeated Portal 54-48. Leading scorers for the Lady Eagles were Nicole Smith, 21; Tashe McClain, 19; Zandra Lake, 6; and Ayana Walker and Deondra Lewis, 4 points each.

The Lady Eagles defeated Claxton 59-31 Jan. 5 with Tashe McClain scoring 26 points. Other leading scorers were Deondra Lewis, 9; Ayana Walker and Nicole Smith, 7 points each; Zandra Lake and Alvira Roberts, 4 points each; and Dorothy Davis, 2 points.

The next game will be Friday, Jan. 11, at E.C.I.
