Church News The Great Movement of God Ministry will sponsor a prayer meeting noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, on the lawn of the Jenkins County Courthouse to pray for the community and those who have lost their jobs. The public is invited to attend. Gospel Fest 2008 Gospel Fest 2008 will be held 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Olde Pal Theatre located next to Cindy's Café on Cotton. The event will feature many local artists, music groups, choirs and praise dance teams coming together to praise the Lord. Refreshments will be served. The charge for admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Fountain Spring Baptist Church Fountain Spring Baptist Church announces that Prayer Service and Bible Study have been changed from Thursday nights to Wednesday nights, effective today, Wednesday, Jan. 16. Prayer Service begins at 7 p.m. and Bible Study begins at 7:30 p.m. Elder Pearlstine O. Capers is the pastor. The public is cordially invited. Attention: all married or engaged couples. Fountain Spring Baptist Church will begin its Marriage Workshop for the New Year at 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19. The workshop, "'Til Death Do Us Part," will biblically cover marital issues such as marriage expectations, keeping your marriage on track, and much more.
